I bought that 1997 Jaguar at Mr. John Lee Hooker's Estate Sale in Ventura CA with 5000 miles on it. It now has 29000 miles on it with its original brakes. It has been babied and garage kept since my purchase in 2000. After the sale a relative said to me "please take care of that car" and I did. RIP John.
John Lee woke up one day and decided he wanted a Jag, we called the local Jag dealership in Redwood City near his house on Hastings St., and two salesmen came over with brochures, he saw the one you bought, they customized it the way he wanted and it was delivered within the week to his home. On occasion I drove him to see his mgr Mike Kappus at Rosebud in San Fransico, I loved that car, happy to hear you still have it and it's in good shape. It was the last car he ever purchased. The world will have to go a long way to get better than this, I don't think it can be done. It took tremendous work, practice and desire to get where you are Joe but you are the top blues man over and above all the best in the world. You didn't get there by wishing for it to happen. Thanks especially for this performance and also THE BRITISH BLUES EXPLOSION, my two favs.
